Named after the ribbon of exceptional clay that winds through our Merlot vineyard, anchoring and informing the vines, our 2022 Arcilla Merlot is a beautiful offering. Upon opening, the wine unveils concentrated notes of currant, black cherry, and fruit tones suggestive of pie-filling, accompanied by delicate hints of dried flowers, sage, and leather. On the palate, deep fruit tones harmonize with savory coffee and truffle flavors that carry through on a lingering, enveloping finish. Crafted from a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine presents a bold expression of a cooler climate Merlot.
